Simply not true. Usain Bolt, the fastest man alive, is 6'5".
Ambles is a big pickup for Kiff

Fastest in what? the 40? 100m? mile?

What I am trying to say is that GENERALLY taller people's speed is greater down the stretch. Not true all of the time, but generally this is the case.

As I stated Meachem, Johnson, Mays, ect are exceptions to that rule.

So is Ambles the "Big Fish" everybody has been talking about for the past week or are we really getting a QB transfer???

Great pickup though!

Over on govolsxtra most of the poster are saying Ambles is not a very good get and they think he will be trouble. I say he is a very good get. govolsxtra is so troll ridden, its hard to tell when it is a VOL fan and when it is a troll.

Those are Gator trolls. They have completely taken over that site.

Ambles is a great WR for the class atleast top 5 by all means. If the UF doesn't agree why did they orignally offer him and didn't go after Cobbs or Prater. They must have thought pretty high of him at one point. Right now UF is pretty lucky because the situation they are in allows them to be as picky as they want. After Tebow I think they loose that luxury.

Govolsxtra has gotten terrible. You read the posts and it really just wants to make you laugh.

With regards to trouble no one really has an idea what happen to loose his spot on the AA roster. Even our boards have been wondering what happen because we at one time were really pursuing him.

I also think this is the big fish Kiffin was talking about. Kiffin never said a QB and never said a silient commit or transfer. Just that everyone would be happy. In the article Ambles says he new a week before the UF camp UT was in the lead, so that is about the right time for Kiffin who said he believed they had a big fish. I think UT nation is pretty happy right now.

GVX sux...plain and simple. they are usually last on reporting a story and the comments section is just plain deplorable. I get all my Vols news elsewhere.

I think he's the big fish too! It would be nice to get a top notch QB but I'm not stressing over it anymore! I've been checking this site like crazy ever since our staff has been recruiting big name players and I'm wore the hell out! lol

If you go back. Kiffin was asked specifically about a qb and said there was a big fish on the real. I seriously doubt Ambles is that big fish. Just my 2cents

UT's class with the old staff would have ranked about where CLK's did. There's really no need to beat them up any more. It doesn't help CLK...he's making a name on his own merit. They were doing a good job building a nice class. No need to take that away from them.

As far as the guys mentioned, I think they'd have gotten Giles, White, and Myles. They wouldn't have gotten Jackson or Teague IMO. Oliver, I'm not sure about since he seemed to somehow sour on ND.

I think they'd have had a better shot at Marlon Brown as well.

No chance Bryce Brown would have been a Vol.

They also would have had Boyd as well.

ambles can be that underneath, over the middle, or deep threat on the next level. He is that talented. - chad simmons - south region analyst

ambles is one of the most fluid receivers we have seen over the last few years that is over six feet tall. He is tall, smooth and silky in his movements and he can change directions or move in space, almost effortlessly. He doesn't look like he is running full speed, but he reaches top speed quickly for a player of his size. Lulls defenders to sleep that think he is not moving full speed, when he actually is and goes right by them vertically. Possesses a lean, but muscular build with fairly long arms and quick hands. Explodes off the ball quickly and gets into routes quickly. He can weave and stem defenders and eats up cushion in a hurry. He has smooth hips and can change directions with little-to-no wasted motion, which really aids in his ability to create separation as a route runner and running after the catch. He shows sneaky quickness that you don't think he has and is dangerous in space as a result. Plucks on the move and gets up field immediately after the catch. He has the size and arm length to win jump-ball contests and be a sufficient red zone target. He also has experience in the return game and should only become more of a factor in this area as a senior. He is a versatile player that may see some time at qb this fall because henry county may need to get the ball into the hands of its best player as much as possible. Overall, he will likely end up being one of the premier pass-catchers in this class.

Tide Warrior, you are totally wrong on this. Bryce Brown had zero academic concerns. He graduated in December, he enrolled in UT in the first session of summer school, there were no academic concerns with him whatsoever.

Ambles is A big fish, but I don't know if he is THE big fish!

What I do know is that Ambles is...

V, B

I know but originally this was the concern and the basis of the rumors. Hence why he was retaking his tests again in the spring. Some even said he was wanting to enroll at Miami in the spring but was unable to because of the scores. Even though there is a minimum for the Clearing House, schools have their on rules. I am not saying any of it has merits but the fact is that was his original scores in the fall prior to graduating school. Also Kiffin is not Calipari so I wouldn't be concerned.

The rumors came from this site where his so called advisor posted his info. He only scored a 17 on the ACT and so it was questioned and assumed by some that his 3.5 gpa might not be legit. Combined they are enough to qualify.

Potential Players - Bryce Brown

He's not going to buy textbooks irrespective of how hard you argue he needs them or how cheap you're selling them.

I totally agree with you, I made that decision today, and im not looking back im going to use this site from now on. this is my first post and i look foward to many more GO VOLS!

Looks like that rumor was wrong!

Tall receiver that Kiffin likes. Be one to watch out for.
