A writer on vandymania wrote an article claiming Georgia could score 50 points on the Titans.

Not that anyone needed proof that Vanderbilt fans know nothing about football...

That doesn't surprise me, the Titans have been bad for a long time.

Yeah but they're still way better than any college team. Seriously... as bad as the Titans are, they'd blow Georgia out and it wouldn't be close. Most NFL teams aren't going to be putting up 50 on the Titans, so no way in frick could Georgia. Even if Georgia had the best QB in college, they still couldn't score 50 against an NFL team. Their QB happens to suck so far in his college career. He was trash at Virginia before he transferred. Titans pro players and pro coaches would make him look like Peterman vs. Florida.

If the Titans showed up in GA tomorrow to play a competitive game, half a dozen, or more, college athletes would be seriously injured in route to a 40-50 point loss at minimum. (if the starters played the entire game and they didn't start running the ball and clock midway through the third)

That game is going to be a snooze fest! I can't believe SEC Nation is there for that.

Didn't Vanderbilt beat Georgia the last time they played in Nashville two year ago?

Expect the VU defense to be on the field the entire day honestly. If they got worn down in the second half vs WKU then whats gonna happen against UGA? It'll get out of hand pretty quickly. I know they wanna believe they have a chance but they have no shot. UGA wins by atleast 28 minimum. This could be a 42-7 type of afternoon.

I laugh at anyone who ever indicates any college team would beat any NFL team period. Anytime I see that I know for a fact the person saying it has no idea what they are talking about.

And the funniest part of all this is he says that, but then they STILL think they have a shot at the upset.

While I agree, there are college teams that when all grown up, I think, would have beaten NFL teams.

The 2001 Miami Hurricanes may not have been able to beat NFL teams as 18-21 year olds......but, they could have given the Jacksonville Jaguars a run for their money as 25-29 year olds.

There were probably more pro bowlers on that team than the Jaguars have had in the history of their franchise.

Yeah but that's hardly the same thing.

Games I'll probably watch today....

11:30 USF @ #11 FSU - ESPN
12:00 Oregon St @ Michigan - ABC
3:30 #10 Georgia @ Vanderbilt - CBS
4:45 Iowa @ Iowa State - FOX
6:00 #19 Oklahoma @ #23 Tennessee - ESPN
7:30 Kentucky @ South Carolina - SECN
8:00 #7 Oregon @ #5 Michigan State - ABC
9:15 #14 LSU @ #25 Miss St - ESPN
10:15 #20- Boise @ BYU - ESPN 2

Only gonna watch USF and FSU cause it's the earliest game on. Oregon State and Michigan could be interesting. I'm only watching the Vandy game to see them slaughtered. Kentucky and SC because they're in our division. LSU and Miss St cause they're in our conference. Oregon and MSU because obviously. And Boise/BYU if I'm craving more football before bed.

The 2001 Canes were the most impressive college team I've ever watched. If there was ever a team that might have been able to at least kind of compete for a moment against an NFL team, it would have been that team.

Hey, how often do you get to see Vanderbilt in the SEC on CBS game of the week?

Didn't CBS more or less have the 2nd or 3rd pick in SEC games for this weekend.? Like, they pretty much had to buy an SEC game from ESPN to show?

(And Vandy's last CBS game was 2013.)

Could be they have to show just SEC teams playing each other - just guessing
