Scout.com: Wayne Dorsey Profile
Teammate of DT James Carmon, shows ut offer.
"Tennessee and Ole Miss have offered me. Right now that is pretty much it. I have heard through my coach that Auburn and Georgia have interest in me too."

"Coach Frank Wilson and I talk a lot. I have spoken to Coach Kiffin, the defensive coordinator, a few times too. I could have a chance to play for the best defensive coordinator in the NFL in college football. It does not get much better than that. They were also the first school to offer and get in contact with me. When it does come decision time, I will keep that in mind.

Sounds like we've got him if we want.

Was he a basketball recruit too? I seem to remember him being on like Team Melo or something, or is that someone completely different?

He's the roommate of DT James Carmon, massive DT who was set to joint UT a year ago. They are roommate. Sounds like we could get a double package if we want

Both him and DT James Carmon are working on enrolling in Jan '10, so both could make a impact in '10

I am at a loss for words. If we got a 6'6 defensive tackle at 360 pounds and his teammate at 6'8 to play at DE, our DL would be legit in one season.

Dorsey, a 6-foot-8, 255-pounder from Maryland, has offers from Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Tennessee and Southern Mississippi. He's not naming a leader just yet."

"It's still early, so I like all of the schools that are recruiting me," Washington said. "I'm blessed to be offered a scholarship to an SEC school. Me having a relationship with Coach Dickerson is big, though. They were the first to really show interest in me. You could say that's an advantage."

Dorsey, who was likely headed to Minnesota before failing to clear the NCAA Clearinghouse in time for the 2008 season, said he'll be studying depth charts when it comes time to pick his collegiate home.

"I'm going to examine them top to bottom," Dorsey said. "I'm already going to have used two years. It's critical that I go somewhere where I can go in and show my talent and contribute to the team. That'll be a major selling point for me. A lot of people say you can come in and play, but I want to see it."

"I'm going to get around to see some schools this summer. I'm going to try to get up to Ole Miss before I leave to get back home (to Maryland). I'd like to see (Mississippi) State too, but I'm definitely going to see Ole Miss."

no one can seem to figure out if this kid has a legit offer

He has an offer, just stop looking at his Rivals page for confirmation, because it isn't going to come.

His Rivals profile is from 2008; for some reason he doesn't have a 2010 profile in their system that could be updated.

tennessee - "Coach (Frank) Wilson is the person I talk to for Tennessee. I have spoken with Coach Orgeron once. To be honest, I really have not been talking to them lately. When the recruiting season first started, I was talking to Coach Wilson every week, but I have not been talking to them since the week I left. I do not know if they are not interested in me anymore. If not, so be it."

That doesn't sound good. They must be on to bigger fish if they backed off this guy.
