Scout.com: Dominique Blackman Profile

There isn't a 2010 Rivals page for him yet. This is his Rivals page when he came out of high school in 2008:

Dominique Blackman - Football Recruiting

Another big-time program that Blackman reports is interested is Tennessee. He said they told him that there are two other quarterbacks they are going to evaluate before making a decision on whom to offer.

Per Scout... It sounds like he got the shaft at Washington. They recruited him as a QB then when he got on campus they moved to TE. He has picked up his first offer for 2010 from Iowa St. He says that he will enroll in January, but in a May 4th Scout story, he said that he could go to a college this summer...

Another pretty big 240/250 lbs QB. I would like to see more game film on him though. I didn't really think to much of his rival highlight video.

It's a plus he could come early and get acquainted with things here ahead of next season, though.

"I have offers from Akron, North Dakota State, and on Saturday I got an offer from Iowa State. Tennessee also has told me that they might be offering me in the next few weeks."

Per Scout...

Can we take anything away from this statement about where we stand with our other 2010 QB recruits or am I trying to read too far into this?

I don't know, maybe the staff is sees a lot more that what we're seeing in the videos. He didn't really look that good to me. There are other prospects that look way better IMO.

First off, you have to trust what the recruit is saying which is dangerous. Beyond that I think it is more of a statement of where they think the QBs in this class are in terms of leading this team next year. I think it's been apparent for awhile that they aren't confident at all in any of these guys' ability to start right away and that they are going to go JuCo for a quick answer there.

I agree 100%. I think heaps could be a decent starter as a true frosh, but we ai'nt getting him...

This guy might be a very real option for the staff this year in recruiting, but I think they will wait to evaluate him in the fall (along with Newton).

I would do a bit of research on this kid as if I remember correctly, he was suspended from his high school team for conduct for like the first 3-4 games his senior year

Percy Harvin knocked out his coach in the middle of the lunchroom one day and punched a ref during a game. I'd kill to have him.

But really, conduct probably isn't a big deal from 3 years ago if he hasn't had any issues since.
