'10 MS DT Carlton Martin

Yes he does, but 5.35 isn't very fast.

He may have more football speed than straight line speed. Good feet and hands are way more important at DT than straight-line speed.

Houston Nutt doesn't worry me. Ole Miss will get tired of him soon after Oregeron's recruits are gone. Alabama though, yes. I'm guessing the kid doesn't fit the Tampa 2 scheme. I don't know why else Tennessee wouldn't offer. Have to trust Monte to get the right players for his system. Even more so, have to trust O when it comes to d-linemen. Ed's the man.

He reminds me of the slightly undersized DT Orge and Monte like so much (Wes Brown). Seems like a perfect fit in our system. Coaches probably want to see more game film on him or something. I think playing for O and Monte would be a lot for this kid to turn down if we push for him.

Got to imagine we are waiting on news from some other guys before we offer. JMO

Could be wrong, he looks like he could add 20 lbs. or so, and be ok.

I think Houston Nutt will turn a few heads even after Orgeron's kids leave. He isn't a bad recruiter himself and is taking a page out of Orgerons book going after lower rated kids that have a world of potential.

Committed to Ole Miss today.

We were never really recruiting him anyway....never officially offered that I know of.
