State Wolfpack.

According to a report on Rivals.com, the offer is a verbal offer, and Wolfpack defensive coordinator Mike Archer told Moore that he will have the offer in writing by September.

Moore comes in at 6-foot-3, 230-pounds, and he recorded a 4.68 forty time in his last combine appearance.

"He has a great package with size, speed and strength," Finn said. "He has a tremendous upside with 2 more years to develop in strength and speed. He his tough to block when he rushes off the edge."

Last season, Moore recorded 110 tackles and one interception. The interception was returned 35 yards for a touchdown, and he also forced two fumbles.

N.C. State is the only offer Moore has right now, but it isn't the only school trying to make contact with him. In the Rivals.com report, Moore said that he has talked a lot to North Carolina and Maryland.

Former teammate Demetrius Hartsfield will play football at Maryland in the fall. Hartsfield was a member of Southeast Raleigh's Class of 2008. Finn told WRAL that Moore will visit Maryland on Wednesday.

"I am sure he will have more offers soon," Finn added. "He is very excited and I know his parents would love to see him play close to home."

Moore told Rivals.com that location isn't a big factor, but admitted he would like his parents to be able to watch him play. </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

He has 10 offers and says he wants to give each school an even shake. His offers are from Clemson, USC, NC State, North Carolina, Duke, Wake Forest, East Carolina, FSU, Maryland, and West Virginia. Moore has been to USC, Duke, UNC, and Wake Forest for their junior days. He enjoyed his visit to Columbia. "I want to look at all of the schools offering me so I went down there", he said. "The coaches were great and the facilities are top notch." He says he is also familiar with Clemson. "I camped there for three days after my freshman year," said Moore. Moore had over 120 tackles, 11 sacks, and four forced fumbles and contributed seven touchdowns on the offensive side of the ball as a wide receiver and tight end. He does not have a favorite. Moore said he recently spoke with a coach from Notre Dame and is expecting an offer soon. Tennessee appears to be close to offering as well. </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

"Tennessee is pretty high," Moore said. "I've been in contact with them a lot. They've talked a lot with my coach and we've been emailing. I really like Monte Kiffin because he's one of the best minds in the game of football. I'm definitely high on them."

"The tradition is big," Moore said. "I was a fan of Tennessee when I was a kid. It's been a tradition rich football school for a long time. I want to play on a big stage and that stadium is about as big as you can get."

On Bryce Brown:
"I definitely took notice of that," Moore said. "I can see it becoming like it was before. I definitely want to be a part of something that is growing and coming up. They showed me that they are a big deal.."

"Early playing time isn't a big deal to me," Moore said. "I wouldn't mind red-shirting. I have the whatever it takes mentality. I want to be the best and I want to improve my game and whatever it takes, I'll do it."

This kid looks mean. I like the fact that he doesn't mind red shirting to get his game right before hitting the field. We need more kids thinking like this young man.

"I'm really focused on the schools that are focusing on me," Moore said. "The schools that are calling me or calling my coach and making an effort of getting in contact with me. I know they can only make one call, but there are other ways to get a hold of me like calling my coach."

"Tennessee is definitely high, but I'm still waiting on an offer from them," Moore said. "I was going to go for their spring game but family things came up. I'm going to try to get down there this summer. They have talked with my coach a lot so I know they are interested, but I'm not sure why they haven't offered. Once they do then they will be one of the schools at the top."

"I was a Tennessee fan growing up," Moore said. "They have a great fan base and getting the Kiffin's was big time. My dad tells me a lot about Monte Kiffin and his coaching genius. He's done it all and he would be a great person to learn from."

Per Rivals...Sounds like UT would be on top or very near the top if Kiffin decides to offer...

Interviewed him earlier, told me he had a top 6 of NC State, Duke, Notre Dame, Maryland, South Carolina, and Florida State. Is holding a press conference July 11 (next Saturday) and announcing there. I feel like it's Notre Dame for him. Not sure why Tennessee/LSU never offered.

You seem to be tearing it up with the interviews since you have been with TR. Keep up the good work Jesse!

With this guy, I think you are worried about bad weight. He doesn't look like he has great muscular structure, he's just thick.

Agree. He simply did not have the frame that Tennessee is looking for at Linebacker. He is somebody that is going to probably balloon up even more and become a tweener. A lot like the kid last year Shackelford that was committed who ended up at Ole Miss.
