should and will be a 5* athlete from Ohio that grew up a vols fan. His uncle played for UT. Should be a good one to count on for '10. Here is some buckeye perspective on him.

Spencer Ware is going to be something special. He started QB this year for the Princeton Vikings - our local high school rival. He played a hell of a game but could not lead them to a victory :). He is VERY fast, VERY atheltic, and is a playmaker. I will be more than happy to keep up the information on this kid.

lol...
Ware is not the QB at Wayne. Ware was the QB at Cincinnati Princeton and is rumored to be at Cincinnati Colerain now. He is an absolute stud and will probably play RB if he is truly at Colerain. Also projected as a possible safety and two-way candidate. OSU, UC, and UT have offered, with interest to MICH, WISC, and others.

OhioVOL, you are thinking of Braxton Kelly at Wayne, who is more than likely OSU bound.

I know he is at Princeton, idk what I was thinking. And the QB at Wayne is Braxton Miller, not Braxton Kelly.

Rumors have it though from multiple people around the area is that Ware is going to enter the MLB draft out of high school and just go straight into baseball.

If he's that good he should take the money. Millions of dollars or study for classes. Which would you take?

I'd take the money for sure.

I'd also take him wearing orange. He is an absolute hell of an athlete.

My mistake on Braxton, my Dayton football knowledge is sub-par. Spencer is a definite MLB prospect, plays shortstop for Princeton...probably more of a 2B projection though. The kid could go either way, but I think we'll see him in college doing both. Might wanna get the baseball coach going after him hard too.

When it's all said and done, Spencer will (in my opinion) be in professional baseball. But how much value does he place on a college experience? And what could be better than playing 2 sports at a major SEC school?

By Helmholdt...has offers from Ohio State, Cincinnati, Duke, Wisconsin, West Virginia and NC State and would prefer to play on offense...receiving interest from North Carolina, LSU, Alabama, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan and Illinois...favors the SEC over the Big 10 and Big 12 but says he is wide open.

The Princeton football team will have several Division I prospects returning this fall, according to Princeton coach Bill Leach. Obviously, junior QB Spencer Ware (5-11, 215) is one of the area's most high-profile recruits with offers that include Big Ten and Big East schools.

Here are some others to watch for the Vikings. Their current year is listed.

Junior OT Ashton Hood (6-6, 260)
Junior DT Rakeem Chandler (6-4, 215)
Junior DE/TE Kyle Budde (6-6, 205). He started at OT last season
Junior DB Josh West (5-10, 175)
Junior QB/WR Bryan Shelby (5-10, 180)
Sophomore WR Jay McCants (6-5, 185)

I think Braxton Miller is way overhyped. I saw him a few times this year when he was 100% healthy and while he is a good athlete I dont think he is an elite athlete and he's certainly not a great QB prospect IMO.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if Ware opts for MLB. His family is in dire straights and if he has a chance at some $$$ through baseball I think he'll end up taking that route.

Good athlete, but I still feel he hit his peak as a football player and athlete as a sophomore in high school. He isn't very tall and has added a lot of unecessary weight over the last few years.
