Pro-style quarterback
Columbia (SC) Irmo
Ht: 6-foot-3
Wt: 207 lbs
Forty: 4.7 secs
Class: 2010 (High School)
"I want a well run offense that passes the ball a lot because I'm a pocket passer," he said. "Location is not that big for me. I'll go wherever I can to play."
Jr QB David Olson (6-3 210) of Irmo is receiving interest from both ACC and SEC schools. FSU, Virginia, Tennessee, Wake Forest, and UCLA are the schools contacting Olson the most. He just recently returned from Tallahassee, FL where he attended junior day at FSU. "It was awesome," he said. "We got a chance to meet with Jimbo Fisher and he showed us the offense he plans on running." Olson has also visited Wake Forest for their junior day and liked it equally. "It was pretty awesome," he echoed. "They gave me and another prospect a private tour of the campus and we got to see how they run their offense as well." Olson saw limited playing time as a junior backing up a senior. He has spoken some with USC and says he was told Clemson will not be taking a quarterback in this year's class. His favorites right now are FSU, Wake Forest, Virginia, and Virginia Tech.
