LB from Whitehaven HS in Memphis. Before that went to the same HS as UT commit Marlon Walls (Olive Branch). 6'2 226 with a 4.49 forty so would fit in well in Monte's tampa 2 scheme. Isn't considering us on any recruiting sites but most seem outdated. Should get on him soon and "lock up" what will be a huge Memphis class this year. If we could get him and Maclin it would be amazing to go along with Greg King. Already got an offer from Butch Davis and NC. This guy had me at his name.

Ferlando Bohanna

Inside linebacker
Memphis (TN) Whitehaven

Ht: 6-foot-2
Wt: 226 lbs
Forty: 4.49 secs
Bench max: 315 pounds
Squat max: 355 pounds
Class: 2010 (High School)

I've gotten the chance to see this kid play once, and headhunter is an appropriate description. One thing, though - He's from Whitehaven, not White Station. I think that anybody from Memphis would be glad to help point the difference between the schools, haha. Nonetheless, a great prospect that we need to get.

Im really looking forward to seeing how many kids this staff can pull in from within the state because this is no doubt one of the best classes for the state of Tennessee in a long time. Kiffin said day one he will put a fence around the state, well here is the year to show it!

last week at Memphis camp: checked in at 6' 240 and ran a timed 4.55.

He has all the makings of a beast LB.

Does anyone know why we aren't on this kid? He was listed as 6-2 240 at the Ole Mis camp and still ran a sub-4.5 forty. That's impressive...

The talent in Tennessee seems to keep getting better and better. Could be that more teams are starting to look for gems to find in the state.

If you like the talent this year...wait till next year. We will have one of the best classes in a long long time to come out of the state. We have a few in the projected top 100 for 2011

I know Tennessee is still way off the mark of catching up with other states in the SEC, but it's good seeing us close the gaps a little bit.

Small state. Apparently the GA football development for youths is very good. I am not sure, but I heard that TN's development of youth football is getting better and we are starting to see the results now.

Can you tell me why we should? What are his stats and how highly rated is he. I've never heard of this kid.

Scout also shows him with a North Carolina offer...

2008: Bohanna had 64 total tackles with 29 solo, one sack, and one interception. Participated in the Junior U.S. Army All-American Combine in San Antonio.

I'm not saying we should offer, just putting this out there.

It's interesting that the original post says he is 6'2 226lbs and runs a 4.49 forty. When you click the link given it says he is 6'0 232lbs and runs a 4.79 forty. Scout has him at 6'1 240lbs and rates him as a one star. Maybe those original numbers were given by his high school and they were inflated. He apparently isn't that great.

No, he is a solid player. He ran in the 4.4s twice in camps this year. His numbers just haven't been updated...
