5'11"? I can't see Kiffin going after a guy that short for QB. I just don't see that happening. I think he'll play QB somewhere, but not here. JMO.

I go to Anderson County and Clinton is our rival so I've seen Darian play the last two years...he has great arm strength, makes a lot of tough throws, sees the field pretty well, has great speed and elusiveness, but he tucks it and runs way too much to be a Kiffin QB.

A guy who covers S Fla football said that it's not likely to hold up under Kiffin. Godfrey himself said some schools are recruiting him at other positions besides QB. Just doesn't sound like Kiffin's guy. I just can't see him turning down Tajh Boyd, but taking one of these two guys.

I think alot of that running was predicated by his pass protect at times and play design....thus the short drops when under center..and the shotgun formations they ran as well..that gave him a run pass option....

Sure. I was under the impression that Kiffin was going to honor all offers from the old staff. Telling them they don't fit in and not actively recruiting them is a different thing though. Thanks for all your hard work, Blur.

Agreed. I meant to put in the protection part and when you have a superior athlete such as Darian why not just let him out run everyone? haha

"Ole Miss is definitely a player for me," Stone said late Sunday evening. "My dream is to play in the SEC and I would love to play for Ole Miss; I really like their offense."

From Rivals... he says he has no offers yet but he is recieving interest from Ole Miss, Alabama, Kentucky, Louisville, Tennessee, Missouri, Syracuse, and UCLA...

Darian Stone 6'0" 185 lbs. (measured in Athens this past weekend!) is right in our backyard. His recruiting is gaining momentum. He plays for Clinton. He had 1900 passing and 900 rushing 30 total TD's and only 5 turnovers. Clinton has been a down program and that has hurt him early in getting noticed, but the kid can really play. He is getting taller and stronger. He is 6'0" benches 280, squats 500, and power cleans 220. Runs a 40 in 4.6 and has a 36" vertical. He may not fit Kiffin's system as a QB, but he is getting big time interest from Kentucky, Louisville, Ole Miss, Auburn, Syracuse. I personally was with him this week at a UK practice and he could compete to start for them right now. Remember, no one thought much about Randall Cobb (now a WR) but he started as a Freshman in the SEC. This kid will go big if Clinton has the year people are expecting and his numbers are on par with what he did as a junior. His highlight videos are impressive. He throws 65-70 yards, 55 on a line. Randy Sanders and Greg Adkins have certainly not forgotten him in their new positions. Remember his name, if he is healthy he will climb the ladder and be a top rated QB by the end of the year.

Besides schools like Louisville, Syracuse and Middle Tennessee State, Stone has received new attention from Memphis and Vanderbilt as a result of his standout performance this past weekend.
