Sisco Carter -

Carlos Younger says he has been told this kid gonna walk-on at UT. I think he is gonna run track at UT too. He is listed as a safety on Rivals, a OLB on Scout, but his best position may be Punter.

He is listed as a 2star on Rivals and impressed some people at UTs camp last summer.

Another prospect that had a unique physical presence was Sisco Carter of Knoxville (Tenn.) Bearden. Carter played safety at a wiry 6-4 and while at first glance he looked to be too tall for the position, he looked very natural backpedaling and tracking down footballs. Likely Carter projects best as a bulked up outside linebacker but he certainly showed some rare ability as a safety at that size.

Carter made an immediate splash on the camp circuit, as he was one of the standouts at the highly competitive University of Tennessee skills camp. "I did well at the camp" said Carter.

"They had me running with a lot of elite guys who have offers from everywhere, but I held my own. Last year, I went to the Miami camp, but I only kicked the ball. This year playing Safety, I wanted to show my skills. I was happy with the way I performed. I'm going to camp at Cincinnati and LSU later in July. I also went to Tennessee's kicking camp."

Great looking athlete who will go under the radar. Has size and athletic ability but has only played a limited amount of football having to sit out his junior season because of a transfer. As a sophomore Carter was a back-up wide receiver and kicker. Without any junior film Carter is one of the biggest hidden gems hitting the camp circut right now.

Wasn't he quoted as saying he was going to be offered by FLK, but it never happened?

i played against him this year and he isnt that good at safety(didnt start). The guy can flat out kickoff though. Every one of his kicks went out of the back of the end zone and he had several.

KV, are you saying not good as a punter, kicker, position player or all?

He isn't a a standout punter, imo. I guess as far as safety goes, he sufficed for EastTN HS football, but I don't see him getting many D1 offers for any position other than place kicker/kick off man.

I remember reading about him around this time last year. He knew the Monte, LT, and Orgeron because he worked at a restaurant that they ate at a lot. I remember reading somewhere that he was a soccer player who had just started playing football and that Cincinatti absolutely loved him at their camp. He could end up being a real find.
