Florence said he's in no hurry to make a decision and is open to any schools.

"Everybody is the same right now," he said. "Half of my family wants me to stay in-state and half of them want me to get away so I can do something different."

Florence said he averaged about 12-15 tackles per game as a starting safety and returned two punts for touchdowns this season. He also scored approximately 6-7 touchdowns as a wide receiver and running back on offense.

Florence is a big-time hitter and that is what first jumps out about him as a player. He not only hits, but he hits with good form. He closes on the ball well, he shows good instincts in the secondary, and he makes plays on the ball. He can still work on his bursts out of his breaks when in coverage, his speed when changing direction, and adding more strength, but he has a very bright future strong safety. - Chad Simmons

I think the odds of him signing with Alabama are higher than most Auburn folks would like to admit. Considering that his parents are said to be Alabama fans, that will play a big role in the end. However, I think Alabama's chances to signing Chris Jones are higher. Jonathan Rose is all Auburn, and rightfully so with his ties there.

Yeah I was on the Tiger board earlier and a poster claimed he was headed to Carver with a "relative" that lives in Carver's district.
