As of right now, Auburn is on top of the list. I can say Auburn is on top of the list. Auburn is just family. I'm going to try to make a decision at the beginning of my season."

Sounds like he's headed to Auburn if nothing really happens before his season starts.

"I learned a lot of things from coach Chuck Smith," Harrell said."He showed me a lot of defensive moves and a lot of techniques that I can use in my next upcoming season. I learned a lot of stuff that I didn't know and the camp was great."

"Tennessee is one of my top schools," Harrell said. "I like this area and the coaching staff. They are laid back and cool, but they have a lot of energy. A lot like myself. They seem like they really care. I can see myself playing here."

All the recruits really REALLY like Chuck Smith... guess we will see if he can seal the deal on some of these big guys.

What another school is accepting commits who aren't 4 or 5 star guys....... brain overload the barns message board must be in full "coach (blank) just left for US_" mode right now.

Everybody knows this guy is a good player.

I've always been of the mindset that if the coaches like a kid enough to offer him and like him enough to accept a public commitment, it's a good thing. Regardless of rankings, stars, offers, etc.

And for the record, Auburn recently accepted commits from

Jaylon Denson - Yahoo! Sports
and
Devin Gaulden - Yahoo! Sports

Both unranked, both shown as having ZERO other offers. How do you think this board would have reacted to that?

I have always felt the stars is just a cute way for sites like rivals and scout to stay relevant. The true meat and potatoes of recruiting is done from coaches receiving and reviewing tape, assessing at camps, and going to actual games and practices. I doubt very seriously that our coaching staff or any other coaching staff in America is waiting anxiously every year for rivals to reveal their "top 100" every spring.

P.S. From what I have seen in previous threads if 2 zero star guys committed to us a plethora of ignorant comments ranging from: rivals doesn't even list this guy, the offer list is unimpressive, his frame looks meek, Dooley is dumb. And honestly probably alot more! ha

Can't wait 9/11 I'm ready to indulge in the 3 things I love in this world: Tennessee Football, Tennessee Women, and Tennessee Whiskey!! V, B

The Barn is turning into a recruiting machine. Hopefully, over time, that helps bring down Bama a notch or two.....or hell, at least make it to where their 2nd string isnt full of five star players!

Because they picked up Harrell?

Don't get me wrong, Auburn will have another solid class, but it will not be because they brought Alabama down "a notch or two".
