Well, from a source I saw that he supposedly had UNC in the lead. Now that UF has offered, he looks very poised to take a strong look at them.

Dixon has promised Tennessee, UNC, and Kentucky that he will come to those schools for an official visit with the last 2 spots up for grabs.

He is going to try to visit UT this summer for an unofficial too.

Dixon is tall and long and still very skinny on his frame despite being listed at 6-1 and 185 pounds. He's probably a few pounds shy of that but he has plenty of room to fill out. He has long legs but it doesn't make him awkward in his backpedal and he's solid in one-on-one coverage. He has the look of a ball hawking free safety that will read and react and close on the ball well and he ball skills were solid in drills.

Gonna be highly rated with that kinda offer list. I'd love to get talent like this. How many Safeties are we taking? 3? We're doing a great job recruiting that position.

Man if we snag this cat, AND if Clark makes it in, we will have the tallest CB. Tandem in the SEC.

Alex Dixon planning three official visits

Three-star cornerback Alex Dixon (Clearwater, Fla./Countryside) is finished taking unofficial visits and may not even need to take all five official visits before making his decision, the St. Petersburg Times reports.

"I really don't know where I want to go first," he said. "I know I want to get to Tennessee. I want to get back to Auburn." Dixon is also very high on North Carolina. Florida and South Florida could be in the mix as well.

Clemson, Florida State, Kentucky, Nebraska, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Purdue, West Virginia and Colorado among others have also offered.

The 6-foot, 180-pound prospect intercepted five passes last season.
