wonder if this is a kid that Hinshaw saw and was impressed by on his recent swing through Florida?

Some scouting reports on him.

Scout's Take: The junior defensive linemen put constant pressure on Carnes all night. He is a great pass rusher with D-1 athleticism. He made plays sideline to sideline which is rare for a young DLmen. He has good size today, in the 6'2, 240 range, but it is clear he has a bright future. -- Geoff Vogt

Southeast's Giovani Francois has as much athleticism as anyone, consistency is the key for him going forward.

Down the road resides Southeast's Giovani Francois, he is very athletically gifted and has displayed a high ceiling on the interior. He is a bit of a tweener at 6'2, 245, but few players possess his first step and nose for the football.

Francois has a great football IQ and his motor never stops. He is more athletic than what people give him credit for and I expect to see him look good at Friday Night Lights. For him to come earn an offer from the Gators might not be realistic this week but with a great performance followed up with an impressive Senior season it could happen. He is a great player on and off the field and if anyone can earn the offer it's Giovani Francois.

Scout article today says Tennessee and Louisville are recruiting him the hardest. Francois says there is no doubt he will visit Knoxville although Tennessee is 'waiting to see what a couple of other guys they have already offered do'.

Here we go again. Take a look at this guy's offer list. Un freaking believable.

If you would read closely... we would have to fall out on the guys we have offered first. Pretty sure it won't get to that point, but thanks for the input.

Nothing surprises me at this point. Let me guess? Another diamond in the rough, correct? This rebuilding process might take longer than expected.

Slow your roll there, liles. We haven't even offered the kid yet. Let's save the freak out juice for the next commitment. :)

Ok that makes me feel quite a bit better. I guess my fear is that he could have turned into a Juda Parker/ Saulsberry type commitment. Meaning how quick they committed. I actually think Saulsberry has a lot of potential.

I can't believe our coaching staff would have a backup plan in place if we miss on some guys.
