Rivals Profile

Pompey does not have a Vol offer at this point, he has offers from Louisville, Marshall, Miami, Mizzou, Ohio, & Penn State

While his offer list is starting to become crowded, Pompey has yet to leave home this season to check out any schools. He expects that to change in the near future.

"I haven't taken any visits yet," Pompey said. "I know I want to go visit Tennessee and Marshall this year. I want to see Tennessee because they have a good program. I like Marshall a lot too, I have been looking them up. I also want to go see Missouri because they are a real good program."

"I want a school that has the best education and can help me out the most," Pompey said. "Those are my main requirements."

With official visits on the horizon, Pompey doesn't expect to reach a decision for a few more months.

"I think I am going to take it to Signing Day," Pompey said.

DT Quinton Pompey, 6-3/255 Bradenton (Fla.) Manatee
2011 CLASS
CONSIDERING: To be determined.
PERFORMANCE: In his first start for the Manatee defense, Pompey got better as the game progressed. He had a few QB hurries and made some plays behind the line of scrimmage.
STRENGTHS: Pompey has a great frame and looks like he could one day play in the 300-pound range. In his first season as a starter he should make leaps and bounds improvement by the end of the season. He moves well and has some athleticism.
WEAKNESSES: The main thing he has to overcome is his inexperience. Pompey also needs to get bigger and fill out that frame of his. - J.N.

he's going to get some BIG offers soon because of the need for size at DT. UF is looking but that could be because of Mike Blakely.
