Yeah for some reason UF hasn't had that much look with DPHS, a few players from Jefferson but none I can remember from DP... same thing with Plant but I've always have heard that Coach Weiner doesn't care for UF from something back in the day.

Per Scout:
Smith could play S or LB at the next level depending on how much size he adds to his quality frame. Moves real well north-south and is not afraid to lay some wood when he arrives. Part of the top secondary in the state.

It should be noted that two of his teammates are Ha'sean Clinton-Dix (Bama commit) and Dee Hart

Smith says he, Clinton-Dix, and Hart will all 3 be taking an official visit to UT this fall for either the Florida game or the Bama game in the new Rivals article.

great news, just wish they weren't coming to the FL or AL game. Hopefully we'll be competitive and the stadium will stay alive!

Im all for all 3 guys playing in Orange and White. I think Chevelle Buie would be a better RB but hey, Smith and HCD, I'd take Hart. but Im getting way ahead of myself.

great news that all three are willing to visit.


IMO u want the kids coming to the biggest games, whether u win or lose isnt the highest priority.

Its all about hte atmosphere and showing them how serious the school, town and state take the big games.

Some very good players in that area... would hate to see them fall into Jimbo hands year after year...In a way UF cherry picks that area but nothing like a pipeline but I would rather UT take more players than FREE SHOES U.

I just hope that UT is the team they enjoy watching that day if they come for one of those games (especially if it's the Bama game and he's with H C-D)

Still, always good to have FL boys making official visits to Knoxville

Does anyone else find that neither UF, Miami, nor FSU has offered LaQuentin Smith troubling? Anyone have some insight into this notion?

At any rate, I love that we are in the race for these players.

Having kids committed to Alabama visit you officially is big in itself. Napoleon does not like that at all.

Funny thing, I'm in O-town for the holiday....sitting in JB Sports bar watching the Magic game and talking to this guy who coaches track at DPHS anyway TMLSS he's saying that HCD commit to Tide isn't going to stick thinks tOSU and Mich will be the teams to beat come Feb.
