Stephenson High School in Stone Mountain, Ga. was probably one of the most talented teams in the country this year. Every kid that qualifies from that defense will play D-I next year and the only junior starter was Jared Boyd who just arrived in San Antonio.

He's hearing from Miami a lot, along with Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, FSU and Tennessee. He has got plans to hit up a lot of camps this offseason.

As a junior, he had 3 interceptions, 50 tackles and 3 punt returns for touchdown. He considers himself a safety and a cornerback.

CB Jared Boyd, 5-9/160, Stone Mountain (Ga.) Stephenson (2011 class)
ASSETS: Has excellent overall speed and hips on a swivel.
AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT: Definitely needs to get stronger in order to battle bigger, more physical receivers.
WHAT WAS MOST IMPRESSIVE AT COMBINE: Ran the fastest 40-yard dash of the day at a 4.5 earning the Fastest Man Award.
CONCLUSION: No doubt that he has D-I ability, and it doesn't hurt his chances being from a high school that has produced a multitude of D-I kids over the last eight years.

ASSETS: Has good speed, hips on a swivel and above-average ball skills.
AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT: Needs to add muscle mass and strength, the jam and grab techniques he displayed in this camp won't work against bigger, stronger receivers.
WHAT WAS MOST IMPRESSIVE: Ran a 4.32 shuttle with a 32-inch vertical in the testing portion and took so many reps during one-on-ones he was asked to sit down and let other corners have a turn.
CONCLUSION: Boyd currently has two offers on his profile, but it actually may be higher than that as his high school is keeping all offers quiet. He definitely has the skills to become a 10 offer kid, as long as his size is not a deterrent for college coaches.
