Scout.com: Cedrick Cooper Profile

"Number one would be Tennessee, second would be Ohio State, third would be Clemson, fourth would be Minnesota, and fifth would have to be West Virginia."

His stock started rising 2 weeks ago when he showed out at the Rome MVP Camp in GA.

Not too many look like Cooper on the hoof and he is a very physical linebacker who can get down hill quickly.

Cedrick Cooper is a linebacker out of Lithonia (GA) that is emerging as one of the best in the Peach State. Cooper is 6-foot-2 and 201 pounds and he was one of the best looking prospects in attendance.

Our linebacker recruiting seems to be in pretty good shape. I wonder how high he is on the board comparable to other guys like AJ Johnson, Paul, Turene, Dunaway, Antoine, etc.

Looks like he plays a little high, but the kid can definitely lay down a hit and seems to have good instincts about getting to the ball.

He was at camp today.....along with his thug posse he brought along with him...lol. I think his head got a little big recently after seeing him in person. Looks like he has a good game though.

He can't be any good. UT will be doomed if they keep getting 3* players like this kid.

Was in attendance for the USCe/UT game yesterday.

"It was great," he told GamecockCentral.com. "They did great against Tennessee."

Cooper, who also holds offers from Arkansas, Clemson, Kentucky, North Carolina, Tennessee, and others, was able to meet USC head coach Steve Spurrier.

"Yeah, I talked to him, only for a quick second though because kickoff was coming up. To meet a football god like him was great."

The Peach State prospect claims no leaders at this time, and is not rushing into a decision.

"I still don't have one," he said when asked to name some favorites. "I'm looking for the school that meets all my requirements. I'm going to decide after the season. The visit helped USC."
