CONSIDERING: Has heard from Alabama, Georgia, Florida State, Syracuse, Clemson, Notre Dame and North Carolina.
PERFORMANCE: Helped keep the Warner Robins (Ga.) High running game in check, limiting them to 162 yards on 43 carries in 14-7 victory. Holmes recorded double-digit tackles with at least three tackles for loss.
STRENGTHS: Has a very powerful build, an affinity for contact and he runs sideline to sideline looking for the kill shot. His coaches, teammates and the fans call him "The Freak".
WEAKNESSES: Does not have the ideal height being right at the 5-11-to-6-foot mark, and sometimes gets covered up by taller linemen, blocking his view of the ball carrier. - BARRY EVERY

Jermaine Holmes, 5"11 230 pounds an inside linebacker from Valdosta High School in Valdosta, Georgia. The only thing keeping Holmes from being one of the top linebackers in Georgia for 2011 is his height. Holmes is teammates with Jay Rome (tight end/defensive end) who will be one of most sought after prospects in the country in 2011 so Holmes will get plenty of looks.
