I don't think we need to worry about whether or not CDD knows about him. He's the head coach at a premiere SEC football program. Do you honestly think there is a player worth anything that CDD or one of his assistants don't at least know about?

This kid's first name is mind-boggling I've never seen a name start with an x and a z. lol

One prospect fans might want to keep an eye on is Griffin, Ga., defensive end Xzavier Dickson. He lists Alabama as his leader, right now, but he’s got a plethora of schools after him. Dickson has a handful of offers and schools like Florida, Georgia, Auburn and Georgia Tech are right near the top of his list.

When I tried to get a hold of Dickson this week, his father informed me that his son won’t be conducting interviews at this time in order to give him some time to focus on school and to clear his head. Sounds like a great plan to me. Recruiting can bog down anyone, especially guys with talent like Dickson. At 6-feet-3 and 238 pounds, Dickson plays both tight end and defensive end, but could be a linebacker if he wanted to. Linebacker could be where he makes his home in college, but for now, he’s excelling on the line. After watching his film, it appears Dickson’s speed could be something he could improve on, but he still has an entire summer to work out and another season of football.

How dare you insinuate that they do not teach them the fine art of not shatting their pants as well.
Shame on you sir.

The problem here is you get like 10 points for properly filling in your name, birthday, etc. With a name like this he probably missed those points for proper spelling of his first name. :) I blame the parents.

espnu 150 watch list defensive end xzavier dickson names top five

xzavier dickson (griffin, ga.), who is holding over 20 scholarship offers, updated espn affiliate web site crimsonconfidential.com on the latest surrounding his recruitment.

Yeah i have a top five list already," he said. "alabama, georgia, florida, auburn, and georgia tech are my top five."

he likes the coaching staffs at alabama and georgia tech, called georgia his "dream school growing up", feels auburn would be a "good place to play" and likes what florida has to offer.

Dickson continued, "i am looking at the coaching staff and the education part. Early playing time is also a factor and something i'm looking at. I am going to make my decision at one of the all-american games."

north carolina, texas tech and purdue are among his other scholarship offers.

Not great. Kid really likes bama. Was bragging about going to bama last year during our playoff game. I guess if we get him to visit anything can happen. He's a hood one that's for sure. Dominated our oline the entire game.

Defiantly perceived as a Bama/UGA battle with bama having the top spot but like you said anything can happen on a visit.

Yea originally I thought we had a great shot at him when he met with Grantham. He liked Grantham alot and Grantham really wants him to come to Georgia but it is looking more like he will be going to Bama. He and Toby Jackson are kin and he likes Bama alot as well. DE and OLB is going to be a big need for us this year as well. Georgia needs to get 4-6 guys for DE/OLB.
