I will have a chance to see him up close and personal on September 3rd as his team makes the journey down I-75 to play my Lynn Camp Wildcats.

We are in Corbin and it is about half way between knoxville and Lexington. Wander if any Vol Coaches will be in attendance.

Was at camp Wed Morning. Worked out most of the time with Coach Heistand, Alan Posey and one of Posey's teammates from Clark Central doing OL Drills.

“(The offer from Tennessee) felt really great,” said West. “I’ve liked Tennessee for a long time. I met the offensive line coach before. But Coach Dooley and the rest of the staff seem like they are going to keep a winning tradition going,” continued West.

Also says he will visit UT and Penn St again soon.

He holds offers from Tennessee, Penn St, Kentucky, Cincy, Northwestern, Louisville, Marshall, Ohio, and Troy.

That Penn St. offer says A TON. They are being extremely selective with offers this year, much more so than Florida or even Bama.

His most recent offer came from Tennessee. West attended the Vols camp earlier in June and they offered afterward.

“Coach Derek Dooley is great,” he said about Tennessee’s new head coach. “I think he brings a lot to the table. He put together a great staff too and I really like the offensive line coach (Harry Hiestand). I know he has NFL experience and coached the Chicago Bears.”

"I talked to coach Hiestand, the offensive line coach down there before, I had bumped into him in the hallway and we talked," he said. "He said he was impressed with my film and he wanted to evaluate me in camp and see me do a couple of drills.

"He wanted me to come down for an earlier camp but I wasn't able to make it, so I came down a couple of days later and went to the camp with Alan Posey, one of their commits, worked out with him a little while, and they offered me shortly after that."

"I know I'll take an official to Penn State and Tennessee, then probably Cincinnati and Northwestern. I already know Kentucky and everything around it, same with Louisville."

- Rivals

Talks alot about the Vols for it to be a Penn St. article.

The staff probably just likes him better than those two. They did get to see him in person at camp.

Robinson- Kentucky, Syracuse, Vandy, Duke, Memphis, UT-C, Tulane, WKU, and MTSU.

The fact that he has a Penn State offer speaks volumes because IIRC they only have somewhere in the neighborhood of 12-15 scholarships to give out to the 2011 class. The top 5 offers for each are no where in the same neighborhood.
