Ouch!"I like Tennessee's coaches," Market said. "They're talking pretty good. I like Melvin Smith. He's a pretty good coach. He's telling me they'll take care of me down there. (Ole Miss) is telling me I could play both sides of the ball. Memphis is talking pretty good. Delvin Clark liked it and he was telling me about it."
Market said he plans to spend the rest of his summer working in the weight room, hoping that squats and leg curls can help him improve his 4.5-second speed in the 40-yard dash. He'll also work to improve the 15 that he posted on his first attempt at the ACT.
Yeah that is awful I have a friend who got a 17 and we make fun of him for being stupid.
I would not call anyone stupid reagardless... but especially not because of some test score. Many people have learning disabilities and most of these kids grew up in poverty where an education was the very last thing on their mind. Hopefully this young man can find someone to help him improve his scores enough so that he can showcase his athletic ability at a higher level.
Education is only a major deal with most athletes when they see the teachers can't pass you to college. Everyone wants to point fingers at the school system when its the kids fault. The schools don't help alot of the times, they wouldn't dare fail a star athlete, but the bottomline is the kid has to want to learn.
