Quentin Gause - Football Recruiting

Scout.com: Quentin Gause Profile

"I'm hearing from Oregon, Michigan, Notre Dame, Penn State, Louisville, LSU, Boston College, UCLA, Rutgers, and Tennessee," said Gause, who has already had the chance to visit Notre Dame, Michigan, Rutgers, and Ohio State, and will be making a trip out to Oregon in June.

Per Rivals... This kid looks like a beast...

He plays LB in high school. That's prolly the position he will end up at after 2 more years of growing...

Only a sophomore, running back Quentin Gause made the trip up from Bishop Kearney (NY) because a previous engagement prohibited him from participating with the sophomores on Saturday. However, Gause did more than hold his own as he was one of the top offensive players at the event. Gause's recruitment should unquestionably heat up over the coming year.

Per Rivals... He competed in the National Underclassmen Combine for juniors while only being a sophmore...

Among all of the 2010 prospects at the camp, there was also one elite 2011 prospect, linebacker Quentin Gause. Gause already looks the part of a major college prospect at 6-2, 215 pounds and he moves like one too. Playing with players a year older, Gause didn't miss a step and has the look of a prospect that will have numerous college options this time next year.

Per Rivals... He apparently loves competing against the older players...

Gause worked out with the juniors and managed to stand out amongst kids that were a year his senior. Gause was electric and is likely to turn into one of New York's top recruits in the class of 2011. He is already 6-foot-2 and a solid 210 pounds. Gause played both receiver and running back last year and regardless of where he lines up in the future, he seems destined to make a huge impact.

From a Rivals article in May...

Quentin Gause mentioned, “ I have improved on most all of my lifts. My best improvements were on the squat rack as well as the leg press where I lift 500 and 1600 lbs. respectively.” This 6’2 215 pound specimen is rippled in layers of muscle.

Quentin also participates in track and field where he runs the 100, 200, 400 as well as the long jump. His personal bests in each event are 11.0, 22.5, 54.0 and 21’.

So. LB Quentin Gause (6’2 215) of Bishop Kearny is a player. Compared to many other players at the event, he looked like the upperclassman instead of the second year guy. Although this young man plays a multitude of positions on the high school level, he is a natural linebacker. He has a flawless physique to the point where it looks like someone put some Krazy Glue on a bunch of muscles and threw them at him. Gause has the luxury of having a father and an uncle who are personal trainers, therefore he is always in peak optimum condition. Once he settles down at the LB position and improves his footwork a bit, he could become special. Quentin can deliver a good pop and move flawlessly, which makes him a potential terror on the gridiron.
