Outside linebacker
Monroeville, Pennsylvania
Gateway

Ht:6'3"
Wt:210 lbs
Class:2011 (High School)

the 6-foot-3, 210-pound prospect is watching things move along nicely with regard to recruiting. He picked up early offers from Michigan and Maryland, and other schools have started to turn up the heat of late.
Pitt and Penn State, the two main in-state schools for Williams, are also recruiting the young man. Williams said Tennessee has started recruiting him more heavily of late.

As a junior for Gateway last fall he recorded 69 tackles, five tackles for loss and one interception. As a wide receiver on offense he caught 19 passes for 417 yards and four touchdowns. Despite his big play ability on offense, Williams expects everyone will want him to play linebacker in college.

IMO good instincts and the ability to quickly read and diagnose a play are much more important than 40 times for a LB. Obviously speed is vreat too, but if a LB can react to a play 0.5 s sooner than someone else, that negates a lot of discrepancy in 40 time.
