I don't know if we are recruiting him as a RB or not, but he looks like he hit the hole and pound it up the middle well.

What's the word on this guy? Is he a fall-back option or are we seriously looking at him?

I like his vision and his ability to run off blocks, but I didn't see him hit the second level with an extra gear relative to HS competition. In HS if your not running away from the kids at the second level forget about it in a BCS AQ conference. At 6"1' and 188 he runs a 4.5; he would need to keep the speed while packing on 20-30 pounds like Jamal Lewis. His pad leverage is really high like Jamal; he would need to work on that at the next level. IMO. I'm sure he is a nice back, but I would wait for a better back. We have a few guys like this already in house. Maybe I'm not seeing this correctly.

"First, I like SEC schools and I like Tennessee because I'm an I formation running back and Tennessee runs the I formation, power offense. Tennessee has a lot of history, too," Caffey offered.

It's pretty much Purdue, Kentucky, Wake Forrest, Arkansas, Illinois and now I've started talking to Tennessee and now I'm definitely interested in them," Caffey said.

"Tennessee would be a big-time offer and they would probably be in my top-three. I know if I get an offer I'll definitely take an official visit there," the play-maker said.

I'm not too impressed myself. He's a decent power back but he needs to gain weight to run like that in college and, as it is, there's no way he runs 4.4 like Rivals says.

I would rather just stay where we are at RB if we can't do better than this. Save the scholly.

Caffey, ranked as the No. 57 running back in the country by Scout.com, still denies a leader but favors Kentucky, Purdue, Illinois, Maryland, Arkansas and Tennessee. All have offered except the Vols.

“They said they’d let me know later this week or next week,” he said about whether or not the Vols will offer him. “They said they really liked my film and thought I improved a lot this season over last year. They thought my tape was much better.”

UK is the team to beat IMO from reading the article.
