'11 TN QB Anthony Goins

Anyone heard anything about him? I attend church with Jeff Co's coach Justin Anderson. He claimed at a church cookout that Goins went to Nike Camps and dominated. USC, Florida and etc have been in contact supposedly. I've watched him play. Nothing about him impressed me. I didn't think he should have been starting on his H.S. team. But Justin stood by it. Anyone keep up with camps??

Stone from Clinton got Mvp at the Nike day in Atlanta last year and he ended up signing at Tenn Tech but to be honest I have never heard of the kid.

Some of these kids just get looks and letters by big schools but they dont get offered.

That doesnt mean much my cousins friend got offered and went to a miami camp and he ended up at arkansas state

No...no relation to Melvin.

He's more of an athlete than a QB. He's pretty quick, but other than that, he's not really got any skills that seperate him from your above average HS FB player. He may even better off to go run tack at a smaller school. He ran a 11.3 yesterday in the 100m...finished right on Devrin Young's heels in the 1st heat.

Jeff Co is a mess right now and its hurting a lot of these kids chances play somewhere in college. Their group of rising SRs are comprised of 4 different JR highs in the county. Those 4 schools didn't lose a game to anyone other than each other for 2 years...yet the program is in shambles.

Goins will go to Carson Newman and play WR or DB...maybe return some kicks.

goins was pretty good last year but not off the charts.nike 's got him 18th in the nation though and national underclassmans got his 40 at 4.47.this guy is fast.and 30 lbs heavier than devrinopcorn:
