His teammate committed to UT yesterday. We are definitely in it for this kid.

There's a chance, I looked at his recruiting page and there's 6 six schools that he has high interest in and one of them is Tennessee. Plus with Chris Jones on board that will help us alot. Man Melrose has a ton of talent.

Scout didn't do a very good job of measuring his height. I saw him play 3 times this year and stood right beside him one other time. He is no shorter than 6'8". My friend that was with me at the games is 6'5" and Thomas was 3 or 4 more inches taller than him. He is listed as a SF but will definitely be a PF if he comes to UT.

His choices always have been...

North Carolina...
and then everyone else (which Tennessee falls into)

... and most likely always will be unless UNC says no.

Longshot, but having Chris Jones in the fold doesn't hurt our chances. Here's hoping he gets into school. Long way off till 2011.

From what I have heard from some of his coaches, if it ended right now, he would most likely go to UF. UNC will be in the fold if they offer. Memphis will be in the fold. I do not think that Tennessee has a great chance of landing him at this time.

That is incorrect info on many fronts.

He will either go to Memphis or UNC/UK/Kansas. There are some with connections to Florida who are pushing that way, but at the end of the day it seems unlikely. Tennessee and Arkansas will waste time staying involved on the periphery. Having Chris Jones does not help with Adonis Thomas.

Paying attention to "TigersNation" is the equivalent of Europe even realizing that Lichtenstein is in the EU.

We could certainly use another F, especially one this talented. We are already a little thin in the frontcourt, plus we're losing Chism and Prince after this year and Williams next year. The only 2 we have coming in are Harris & Maymon. Any news on where we stand?

I could get a little info on him during the summer, Cause he will compete in the same AAU tournaments i do, I talked to him last year and he really liked Florida but around May i might be able to get a little info on him....

Florida is still right there from what I have heard.

I think the consensus about Thomas is that Florida is tops right now, but he will be UNC bound if they offer. It is still early though and getting his HS teammate does nothing but help us, unless Jones goes off to prep school next year.

Jones will be gone to Prep next year no doubt about it, and Adonis will be at the Real Deal on the rock in Arkansas in late march so ill talk to him there.

I do not think that he is necessarily a UNC lock if they offer. There are strong ties to him and Donovan.

There is no guarantee that Jones will be in Prep School. He has a chance to win the appeal to stay at Melrose. He would be better off at Prep School, but it would not surprise me if his coach is able to pull off the hardship appeal.
