This one is an Incredible Athlete. He can Run! Jump! Block! Pull! and Catch!.

He's on the same team as '11 TN Mack Crowder OC.

They were ranked #1 in Tennessee High School football last year in 5A-classification with an undefeated season.

We need this one friends!

He definitely has the height. If he has good hands and can REALLY run the 40yd time that is listed, I would expect to see his offer list grow by a lot.

Merge please.

The kid has the size no doubt, and I hope he has the skills. Maybe he will get a chance to show his wares since apparently, we're running a 4 TE set.:eek:lol:

Don't think that DD won't be in his living room if he measures up.

I have a friend that teaches at TN High and he spoke of this guy last week. He said that Roper had been to visit a few times and then came the Duke offer. I will pass on any other info as it comes.

This kid can play. He can run and has great hands. During the football season he had some really good catches but it was during basketball that I really noticed the catches he would make. He was also in the dunk contest during Arby's and make it to the semi finals. I know that he has offers from Duke and Baylor, I am sure tjis list will grow.

Downs' profile on Rivals now shows him with a Vol offer.

It did not show one when I looked about 3 days ago. It looks like Dooley has handed out his 8th in-state offer for '11.

He also now holds offers from Miss St, Baylor, Maryland, Memphis, and Duke.

Is he any good? Rarely are kids from in state someone to get excited about unless they are a standout and I have never heard of this kid.

sounds like he is. he keeps picking up offers. and I remember the last TE from the Tri-Cities the Vols had.

The higher rated the prospect in TN, the less likely to succeed imo. Donald, Coker, and Warren all crapped out.

The lower rated guys like Cobb, Patrick Willis, Dan Williams, and Hightower all became allsome.

Dont get me wrong, he could be great but I would rather see him show out in some camps etc. The coaches like him which is all that really matters in the end. He could end up be a great player but hes a relative unknown right now, thus the lack of enthusiasm.

Can we pull him from Duke...

I know the answer seems obvious but sometimes kids truly love a school or (gasp) they value academics more than athletics

I dunno. He has a 3.95 GPA and scored a 30 on the ACT. Hubbs talked to him this morning so we should have a decent idea of where he stands when we see what he says about the offer.

In speaking with his dad this past week, Chaney has been to the high school recently, as well as a phone call, and really made a great impression on Brendan. He's camping at Duke this week I believe.
