"I want to hit some camps where schools haven't offered me yet and try to get an offer from them. I want to go to Clemson and see if I can get an offer from them. Tennessee also and places that aren't too far and not too close. Maybe somewhere down in Florida because they have a reputation of having the best players. I want to show that Virginia players can compete with Florida players also."

Nicholson made the long trip from Virginia to compete in the event and came away with the Skill Position MVP award. He is a quiet, focused cornerback who lets his play do the talking and he was the most consistent corner at the event during the one-on-ones. He took on all comers, was always around the football and showed an impressive ability to change direction and break on the ball. Nicholson prefers off coverage and is very adept at reading and reacting but he can also play press. His backpedal was flawless.

Nicholson, whose list of scholarship offers includes Clemson, North Carolina, NC State, Stanford, Virginia, Virginia Tech, West Virginia and others, showed off impressive agility and athleticism to go along with quick feet and a smooth backpedal. He was one of many top defensive back standouts at the event. North Carolina currently has the edge for his services although he grew up a Virginia Tech fan and you can be sure some major offers will be on their way soon enough.
