He is the former teammate of the Vols' Jerod Askew and the Tide's Phillip Simms.

He is considered to be a lock to leave the state of VA and play in the SEC, with Bama in the lead.

LV, I couldn't open your big board on vq the other day. How many WRs does this make that we've offered now for this class?

quite a few, but I currently only have 1 on the board: Arnett. I'm adding Brassell the next time I update it.

you be able to open it in the thread pinned at the top here on VN.

It would be awesome to have another 6'5" + receiver to line up opposite Milton in the red zone. Milton, Rogers and Funderburk sounds deadly

I sure hope that the current staff continues to pursue tall dominant receivers like Kiffin and Co. did. In my opinion, you cannot beat Dwayne Jarrett type receivers. For the SEC being such a dominant conference, aside from Green and the Alabama receiver, I cannot think of any 6'4" plus receivers in the SEC that have made a significant impact.

As long as I have lived up here Oscar Smith has but an awesome team on the field. Always in the playoffs, always full of D-1 talent.

Not sure on the height, I know he's close, but I would put Brandon LeFell from LSU in that category. By no means a superstar but every time I saw him he consistently caught the passes he should have and occasionally had some finess catches.

Now that you say that I think LeFell was about 6'4". Great build for a WR. Average hands.

Riley Cooper was effective, Terrence Tolliver & Alshon Jeffrey.

For me the key is to have variety of WR. If u have three 6'5 guys u gotta have a cple small quick guys who can avoid press coverage and make people miss just to keep defenses honest

Just thought of another one you could put on that fence. Greg Childs from Arkansas, he's in the 6'3-6'4 range and was very solid last season. Should be an absolute beast this year with Mallett tossin it to him.

I agree with your comments for the most part. I would put Alshon Jeffery at about 6'3" and a great receiver I might add. Terrance Toliver is average simply due to the fact he plays in a poorly coached offense. It is amazing how an offensive system can make or break a player despite their actual talent level.

Him and P Sims 2010 QB are good friends. BTW PS was the one that threw all those passes last year for his stats. So answer someone elses question that is why he is looking to come here and yes UA is looking to open it more with passing. The reason for bringing in the last 2 QBs. P Sims broke about every record M Vick had in the state last year with QF receiving most of the passes.

He has visited but to be honest we have not heard alot from him. Seems to keep very low key. I also think that UA may only take one more WR if they do at all. So unless he is commiting soon not sure he will be at UA.

Arnett and Brassell are the only 2 I've heard of us going after hard and they both fit the mold of what you're talking about.

we are recruiting a couple of small fast RBs as slot receivers too like Romar Morris and Jerron Seymour.
