Scout.com: Austin Seferian-Jenkins Profile

"I know coach (Justin) Wilcox and he was at Boise State and now he's the 'd' coordinator. But, I talked to coach Dooley once and he seemed really nice and cool," Seferian-Jenkins said. "It's impressive, them being nice people good coaches and wanting to get premier talent ."

"I haven't been to Tennessee or anything like that, but what I know is the two coaches, the defensive coordinator and the head coach. I don't know the tight ends coach or the offensive coordinator," Seferian-Jenkins said.

Per Rivals...

“They called my coach today and let them know that I had an offer from them as well,” Seferian-Jenkins told InsideTennessee.com Tuesday evening. “It was great to get that offer. Tennessee is a school that I have a lot of interest in and I will definitely take a visit there.”

“Coach Dooley told my coach that they want me to come in and play right away,” Seferian-Jenkins said. “They are really excited about me coming to Knoxville for a visit.”

Per Scout...

This guy has offers from every single big time school in the country.

Scout says he could also play OL and DL.

If you put him on the DL he could be an edge rusher like Mario Williams.

This appears to be a top notch kid and much needed addition to our roster. Come on DD, close this deal as soon as possible.

Wait, didn't someone say:

a. Nobody will know Wilcox, how can he recruit?

and

b. We're not gonna recruit west of the Mississippi?

I went on scout.com and he has offers from 23 different school. Man this would a huge get at a position that were going to need since Luke stocker is a senior this year.

As bad as I hate to admit it, it will be next to impossible to peel this kid away from Lane Kiffin and Co. and USC if or when they offer. IMO, he will end up at USC. It also would not surprise me one bit if Kiffin intentionally recruits Tennessee and UT commits just to spite us in the process. Look for him to make a strong push for Jabriel Washington in the process so everybody just needs to brace themselves and not act so surprised when he does so.

"my top five schools are ucla, oklahoma, alabama, florida and notre dame and ucla is my top school right now. I actually grew up a miami fan and may visit there and some other schools over spring break, but i like ucla and they're recruiting me pretty hard right now," said seferian-jenkins. "i'm just looking for the best fit overall for me. I want to go where i'll be comfortable as a football player and as a student and when i get that feeling from a school, i'll go ahead and make my decision."
