Tennessee battled through a back-and-forth Saturday contest against No. 12-ranked Kentucky, but the Wildcats used a late-inning rally to move past the Volunteers, 5-4, and even the three-game series at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.

Pitching, or lack thereof still an issue under Serrano

Having 3 arms down doesn't help much either. Injuries happen to everyone and cannot be an excuse however it still doesn't help our situation.

Could've been a completely different outcome if warren hands the ball to Kyle Serrano and he keeps it a 3-2 game.

First thing I thought when they sent Kane on...It is what it is though.

Tomorrow will be interesting, cox hasn't gone very deep in games. I expect to score some runs tomorrow but someone is gonna have to get some outs late in the game.

Just guessing but I expect to see Vasquez at some point and possibly Lipinski again.

The HBP by Reid was the worst part. No excuse to come in and hit a batter, much less on an 0-2 count. He did the very last/worst thing. Giving up a hit, a walk after a decent at bat, anything but the easiest way to get on base.

I agree it wasn't good however looking at one specific play in a sports contest is too easy to place blame. If our 1st 9 hitters in the 1st inning all hit singles we would have been up 6-0 or more in the bottom of the 1st which would changed the complexion of the game....

I'm not trying to be condescending in my reply however we had other chances that would have prevented putting us in that situation to begin with.

I feel for Reid and hope he bounces back. We need "all" our delivers to have confidence right now and preform up to their capabilities.....

I didn't say it was the only reason, just that it was the worst part from the bullpen. There are just certain things in certain situations that you just don't do. And he did one of them. Maybe the guy hits a double scoring 3, maybe he walks on 4 pitches, who knows? But you just simply don't hit him in that situation. You don't do it.

I hear ya, plenty of blame all the way around and missed opportunities by the team...but I did like the fight the guys showed at the end.
