Love the movie. Not sure way it needs a show.

Been years since I've seen the movie. I'm not even sure I saw it all the way through. I vaguely remember asking myself "what the ef is this".

Gotta be honest... Doesn't really feel like a SyFy show to me. I might actually give this one a shot.

So no one is talking about this I DVR the first 7/8 episodes and last weekend I finally started watching it.

By the end of the first episode I was hooked. I marathoned through the first 3 or 4 episodes in one night. I haven't got caught up yet but I think I'm on episodes 6 (the one after they find the secret room)

SyFy has shows that are hit and miss. I'm enjoying this a lot more than the first season of Helix last year.

I've enjoyed it so far. I started to post in here a few times, but I didn't want to be talking to myself...yet again. Lol

Also, I like Helix more this year than I did the first season.

Yeah, a lot of people don't watch SyFy so I had a similar thought as Jerry. I've been watching it and it's good.

I have to disagree on Helix. I thoroughly enjoyed the first season, it was like a long drawn out horror movie. It had parts that made you jump. This season has been just ok for me.

I'm going to wait till I DVR the remaining episodes and then marathon them!

This was some good news maybe?

Syfy's '12 Monkeys' Renewed for Season 2 With New Showrunners

Syfy's '12 Monkeys' Renewed for Season 2 With New Showrunners
Showrunner Natalie Chaidez will exit for the network's 'Hunters.'

Syfy is bringing back 12 Monkeys — but there's a catch.

The network has handed out a second-season renewal for the drama based on the movie of the same name, but series showrunner Natalie Chaidez will step down. The prolific producer will segue from the breakout series to showrun Syfy's upcoming Gale Anne Hurd (The Walking Dead) drama Hunters
, which she wrote. 12 Monkeys executive producers Terry Matalas and Travis Fickett (Nikita) — who created the Syfy show — will take over as showrunners on the series. Fellow exec producers Richard Suckle and Charles Roven (the latter of whom produced the original film) will stay on board as exec producers with Atlas' Jake Kurily producing.

12 Monkeys, based on Universal's Terry Gilliam film and starring Aaron Stanford and Amanda Schull, hails from Universal Cable Productions (like Hunters) and will return in 2016. The series continued to gain viewers with its March 6 episode, which attracted 1.5 million total, up 6 percent compared with the previous four weeks. Airing on Fridays, the sci-fi drama is also performing well with three days of delayed viewing (up 104 percent).

"We are absolutely committed to 12 Monkeys, and have been incredibly impressed by the outstanding critical and audience praise the series has earned," Syfy president Dave Howe said. "The talent both on- and offscreen has delivered a series that has us all on the edge of our seats, providing exactly the smart, exciting storytelling Syfy is known for."

12 Monkeys is part of Syfy's renewed push to focus on science fiction again. Its roster also includes mythology drama Olympus, previously renewed zombie drama Z Nation as well as the also-picked-up Dominion and Helix. Still on tap are Childhood's End, The Expanse, Hunters, due in 2016, and Dark Matter as well as minis 3001: The Final Odyssey and Spin.

This could be an interesting change. Both Aaron Stanford(Cole) and Travis Fickett hail from Nikita which was rich in fighting and hand to hand combat. This show wouldn't hurt from some more hand to hand combat and fighting. I don't know if they'll go a little more in that direction but it would be cool.

The first season ended up being great! I really like Amanda Schull's(Cassie) character in this show better than her role as a paralegal in Suits.

So anyway, fast forward to this seasons premiere. I thought it was a very well done season premiere. Anyone still watching?

I forgot about it. I'll catch one of the reruns.

Anyone watching Wynonna Earp its really cheesy and the CGI is bad but strangely I can't stop watching!

I laughed when I saw the previews for Wynonna Earp, that's about all the attention I gave it.

Another solid episode of 12 Monkeys. They also had some great special effects in this episode.
