Bottom Line:
Right now (heading into his senior summer) his size and athleticism are his strengths. He needs to turn himself into a thinking man's point guard. We'd like to see him become the leader of his team. He's also bounced around schools and AAU programs so we'd also like to see more stability in his situation.

Sorry, apparently there is another Montay Brandon in NC? I just saw NC and assumed it was correct. I've edited.

I thought it was the same guy, the two sites just had diff heights and positions. Are u sure its a diff guy? It said that he has bounced around high schools and AAU teams, so that could be a reason for some confusion too..

After your post, I noticed the different high schools so I removed them. But if he changed schools, that would explain it -- and would be a lot more likely.

And I've been known to mix up prospects before so I was quick on the trigger. :)

"I have a pretty firm top three of Georgia Tech, Tennessee and Florida State and all those schools are equal right now, I like them all a lot," Brandon said of his favorites. "I've been hearing a lot from Missouri lately, and they're sort of the fourth school that I'm looking at right now."

Tennessee could obviously make use of Brandon's versatile talents, and the holes in the Vols' roster are one of the factors that has Tennessee high on his list.

"Talking with the coaches there, the opportunity to play early is attractive. I know I'd have to earn it, but if I'm ready, I'd have a chance to get on the floor quickly," Brandon said of Tennessee. "Coach Martin has talked to me about how I'd be able to fit into their system, and it seems like a good fit."

"Tennessee was one of the first big schools to start recruiting me hard," Brandon said. "I like coach (Kent) Williams a lot, they've been consistent with everything that they've told me from the start. Coach Martin seems like a real straight guy, and I like that."

Guy would be a really good get for CCM.
