12 TN RB I'tavius Mathers

I am interested to see if the staff likes Robinson (Memphis Wooddale) over Mathers. Robinson is bigger and has a lot of upside.

I go to Blackman. I hate to say it, but if Auburn offers, he'll commit soon after. That's his team. Also, there's not a UT influence at all at Blackman, so that really doesn't help out our chances. With that said, he'll succeed where ever he goes. Great guy, even better football player.

Before this year? Cause if not, there's always a chance we can have a better record than them next year, if that influences his decision.

It was a good thing for Tennessee this year that most recruits aren't influenced by the results of one season. Otherwise, the 2011 class would have ranked somewhere in the 50s.

It has always been Auburn. He sports the Auburn gear, and everyone knows he loves them. I don't think he has too much interest in being a Vol. He likes Bama and ND too, but he loves Auburn.

Absolutely! It's a good thing we signed a bunch a forward thinking kids. Shows good character and coachability.

Not so much anymore, apparently. I heard from someone that Mathers is rethinking the Aubies because of the controversy surrounding the program. If this is credible, then the Mathers sweepstakes is wide open.

SGM... Just out of curiosity, how do you feel about everything now? Are you impressed with the class?

It's certainly better than I thought it would be this time last year. Now it's time to see how well these guys are coached up.

Wouldn't surprise me, because he's far from an idiot. But I haven't heard that yet. I'd love for him to come to Knoxville, just doesn't seem likely if things stay the same. And I meant he likes Bama and ND as options, not teams he pulls for, like Auburn.

No one likes Auburn and Bama. That's like going in a church and praying to Satan.

There will be a lot of back and forth opinions on that.

There were rumors that Robinson could transfer. If her wanted to do that and still have all eligibility, the likely choice would be Olive Branch HS just over the state line into MS. If he did that, his name would be thrown around more on the regional or national scene.

Robinson already has Bama and Ole Miss offers fwiw

Dooley needs to put his magic on Mathers. I would think Mathers would be the exact type of kid Dooley is looking for and right in his own state. He is a great running back with the size Dooley likes with very impressive numbers and a very hard work ethic and he seems to be pretty smart. Come on Dooley, get to work.

Yea I've heard about that, it'll be interesting for sure. Hope we get on him before some other big schools do. But as you said, the Bama offer shows their opinion of his talents

I saw this kid play twice this year, we needed to offer him yesterday and they need to make him priority #1 , he is a playmaker.
