A guy on TOS used a player example for I-Trains running style & I completely agree with him. He said I-Trains running style reminds him of Adrian Peterson, runs up right with speed & power. Now before anyone trys to run with this I am NOT saying Mathers is a Peterson type player, I'm saying his running style reminds me of AP.

Mathers has a really short stride

I think Peterson has a similar running style to Chris Brown. I couldn't find a good highlight video of Brown, but here's a few plays from when he was at Colorado:

I have spoken to a coach that coached Wilks and now coaches Mathers. He said Mathers is the real deal. He says he absolutely has SEC ability.

Tonight, I'tavius had 203 yards on 10 carries including a 92 yard td run. Now has 2,473 yards on the season. Blackman won 42-0 over Franklin and now plays Smyrna next week at Smyrna.

My brother told me that I'tavius had a migraine later in the game and was limited in the second half. He was given a couple of shots, and he should be good to go for Smyrna next week.

He had a great 1st quarter, then looked sick on the sidelines late in the 1st and 2nd quarter. I didn't know what was wrong with him at the time. He played very little in the 2nd quarter. Came back in the game late in the 2nd and on his 1st play back, he broke a 51 yard run down to the 3 yard line. Had 197 yards on 8 carries at halftime and had sat out most of the 2nd quarter. Only carried the ball twice in the 2nd half, got over 200 yards and gave way to backups as Blackman was winning big. I've never seen a high school back as good as Mathers. He is also a class act. Runs all over you but never taunts. Hands the ball to ref after he scores and runs back to the bench.

Huge game this week. Smyrna is the only team to hold him under 100. I think he's had over 150 in every other game actually.

kid is one of the top JR's in the state...has very good vision, nice balance and good speed and very good size. My question is does he outgrow the position.???? He also needs to get on the combine and camp circuit as well....to raise his visibility......

kid is a baller......you dont rush for 2,300 yards in his region on accident.........Vanderbilt has offered..
