I was sitting around alot of blackman fans and former players and they all said that they thought bryson was a better back. I think Mathers may be stronger but Bryson is more electric and hits the holes much quicker.
He's going to get a lot of looks at some major Division I schools. My brother told me of one his teammates, Hunter Thompson, who is receiving interest from Ivy League schools like Princeton, Brown, and Penn.

I hope the guy is a good student athelete and not someone like the last big time mid-state RB we had pledge (LaMarcus Coker). I have seen his film, and he looks awesome. It would be nice to have a homegrown hero around here (sorry, we just don't have the players consistently that Florida, GA, AL, SC, and Louisiana often do). This guy looks (on the field) like the real deal.
Mathers is a all purpose back, don't doubt his speed tho. Kid is legit.

- RivalsThat explosive junior season has drawn early offers from Vanderbilt, Duke, Virginia and Middle Tennessee State. Interest is already coming from Notre Dame, Tennessee, Cincinnati, Ole Miss, Michigan, UCLA, South Carolina and Missouri.
Mathers camped at Notre Dame last summer and said he's a better fit for the spread offense because of his mix of size and speed. Irish running backs coach Tim Hinton, who connected with Mathers last summer and recently stopped by Blackman High School, probably wouldn't argue that point.
"I loved the camp at Notre Dame," said Mathers, who added he hopes to return to South Bend. "I liked how you come out and compete, how everything is fast-paced. Coach Hinton, he's a pretty cool coach."
