After suffering back-to-back losses to the No. 1 and No. 3 teams in the nation, Tennessee returned to the win column on Friday night with a 75-40 victory over Davidson.

Whoopee!! Well good. Nothing like taking frustrations out on little ol' Davidson to make them pay for TN's lost to the bigger, better, and more highly rated top teams that put a whoopin on our Lady Vols to make us feel better. Holly should make them run more & hand wash their own uniforms to be a better team (sarcasm) cause that will work just dandy I guess to make improvements for the bigger games down the stretch. Go Lady Vols & beat those little teams by 35 points that don't stand a chance. If you girls want to make a statement, how about knocking #1 & #3 off their perch, that would open up some eyes around the College girl's Basketball World & also put TN back on the map for a place of winners.

I expect our Lady Vols to play above their heads when it comes to the #1 & #3 teams in the land. I feel like I need to scold them a little bit to get them fired up. I'm always pulling for them no matter what though. If they play Baylor again next year in a tournament, find a player to at least stand on Izzy's shoulders to defend that Griner boy....lol.

lol i understand the scolding part,from what the players said,CHW was giving them a hard time,which they deserved,i think Griner is gone after this year,now if CHW can kick them in the pants and get them off this slow start crap,i think the Lady Vols will be a very good team

Should never turn down free tickets to anything, IMO. I have some stories about free tickets for events that I thought weren't all that hot but turned out to be awesome.

Since Davidson was on the schedule and the players had nothing to do with scheduling it, how would you have preferred they handle it? Win bigger, win smaller or just boycott the game?

Our defense returned last night but our offense is still bad. We need some players taking fewer shots and some taking a lot more. Simmons is averaging 1.09 points per shot and has shot 165 times which is way to much for that kind of average. Graves is averaging 1.31 points per shot and has taken 120 shots. She should be the team shot leader. Massengale is averaging 1.28 points per shot and has only taken 74 another player that needs to shoot more. Kamiko is at 1.18 per shot and leads the team in steals she needs more minutes. Burdick 1.12, Izzy 1.14, Taber 0.99 don't know what has happened to her she is having a tough senior year. To have a solid offensive team everyone needs to be at 1.2 per shot attempt. We are at 1.14 as a team. This would get better if Graves and Massengale were shooting more and Simmons was shooting less. I like Simmons for a lot of minutes but she is not that great a shooter but does get in streaks. Her entire career at Tennessee has found her at about 1.08 per shot not that great.
