Bad day for the SEC.
And Donovan, just like Pearl, got outcoached.

Donovan isn't a very good coach. You are probably right with your post. Donovan thinks he can play 5 guards and win. He can't.

He's in love with the 3 ball in lieu of basketball. Same mentality is killing coach K. Difference is that K is well aware.

people on here don't get it.
in basketball,.......truly...anyone CAN beat anyone on any given night.
having off night shooting is very hard to overcome and when the other team plays lights out and you shoot like crap....youlose.

i had a team play one of best defensive games under me ever but we shot 19% from floor...only attempted 4 3's..missed 11 ft's where as a team we were 78% on the year before that game and lost to a team we had beat by 40 3 weeks earlier.
it happens

Apparently you don't get it, against decent competition we have struggled most of the time. Today's game was not a new phenomenon, we just played a team that could finally make us pay for our mistakes.

Without a doubt and I grant you that. Regardless, tonight was simply a perfect storm of all the crap that we just don't do.

Haven't watched much of UF this year, but if your trying to compare bad shooting nights, its pretty evident UT does not have good shooters to have a bad night.

This may be the poorest shooting team I have watched in a long time. I liked it better when we were 6' 2", scrappy, and unathletic.

Scotty is shooting 24% from three ever since the ECU game. I wish he'd toughen up(along with the rest of the team, especially Chism) and get to the rim more. Settling for jumpers is almost like giving up considering how poorly we have been shooting lately. I like the scrappy players as well. They play with heart

I am not surprised by this because 1) Gators are young and rely on streaky perimeter offense to win; 2) Gators just are not very good. I mean, I think we can make the tournament, but when I see Lunardi making us a 3 seed last week I was basically the Home Alone kid.

Whoever posted that Donovan is playing 5 guards and lives and dies by the 3 could not be more correct. Been saying for years that Donovan's biggest fault, with a few notable exceptios, is that he recruits guys in his own image (guard in the Big East). How we beat FSU and their 9 foot lumberjacks this year I'll never figure out.

Oh yeah, now I remember. Leonard Hamilton is an atrocious bball coach.
