13 regular season games?

USC has 13 reg season games this year. Did they schedule an extra game cause they cant go to a bowl?

I've never heard of 13 regular season games.

It's because you get an exemption if you play a regular season game in Hawai'i, Alaska, or Puerto Rico

How many major games have been played in Alaska? I can't think of any BCS team ever playing in Land of The Dark.

The NCAA rules state that if you play a game outside of the lower 48, you can get an extra game. It doesn't just have to be Hawai'i, although almost universally, that's where it is.

Although, I'd be interested in a Kickoff Game in Anchorage or San Juan.

It simply means they'll go 7-6 as opposed to 7-5. No big deal really.
