UCLA has 6 other oline committed besides him. Stay instate for family and his girlfriend so they can attend his games. He is a smart kid and knows what he is doing. Reporters aggravate these kids to death. Some love the attention and some get burnt out. He is burnt out.

Good post but

If he is burnt out why not end speculation and then cut the media out??

+1

Seems if he knows he is flipping it would make sense to just do it. As stated UCLA has alot of OL recruits. If he flipped now, he could more less shut down his recruiting.

He wont hear the end of the media or UT or UCLA fans til he signs but he prolly thinks he might keep media off him til signing day. Media are relentless.

It's also possible that he is now very confused and doesn't want to exacerbate his situation by making a media spectacle of it.

Not putting on a jersey made good sense, because he is committed to another school at this time. Would have been interpreted as making a statement that he didn't want to make. That would have been thoughtless and rude.

He is apparently conflicted, so I hope he gets deconflicted and commits to Tennessee, as he should.

You suggesting he shouldn't tell UCLA he is decommiting?

No, but UCLA coaches will probably suspect if he's going to decommit. If he does indeed go silent until NSD instead of reaffirming his commitment publicly beforehand, they'd have to think he's going to decommit IMO.

What he does in the media really matters not. I have tried to read something into it and it really only slightly leans me toward the negative. What he tells the coaches of both staffs is really the only important thing

Bro,

No surprise to anyone it leans you to the negative. One of my best employees copes with each deal by saying it will never happen. He produces more than anyone else by doing it this way. Hope it works out the same in this case. We will have a great NSD if it does.

It's cool. Cause some folks deal with it better to not get hopes up. Get ya bro.

I don't see how staying silent until NSD backs up him being fully committed to UCLA. The only important thing is what LOI has his signature on it come NSD. Talk doesn't mean much. We've seen that the last few years.

John Franklin III and Johnathan Ford disagree. Chad may very well have felt that way though.

Guys. I'll check his Twitter from 2 weeks ago and see what's up. I'll have the latest breaking news soon. Hold on.
