'13 TN OT Christian Morris

There's the problem.

A little musical chairs being played at the OT position one way or the other. Even if UCLA wants to take three OTs (six offensive linemen total), Lacey and Morris have likely been an either or situation for awhile now. I think Morris is a Vol.

Has he had an OV? If so when? and has CBJ even had an in-home visit with him?

Looking for answers without having to read whole thread.

If having a twitter account makes someone an unfit recruit were gonna have slim pickins for the next 10 or 12 years.

Sounds like he isn't going to be a Vol and that's all I got from that tweet.

Wish him luck wherever he ends up.

I have a certain respect for posters like this. When a kid bashes UT or in this case, tries to negatively recruit against UT, I tend to hope they fail. I'm a terrible person.

A poster earlier posted he wasn't a take. If so bashing this kid is certainly not warranted

Idk what the situation was but aside from hoping he fails at convincing Ford to stick with Vandy, I've got nothing against him.

I don't know Morris's family situation at all. But for a lot of guys (see Pacman Jones) football is a way to a much better life. That success can hinge on your relationship with a coach or how well you fit a certain system. I don't blame kids who choose not to go to UT. Because for all I know they might be better off somewhere else.

There are probably a couple of Kurt Warner's out there still stocking grocery shelves. So if UCLA is best for him that's his decision. Better there than Georgia or Alabama.

If he wanted to come to UT, and connecting all the dots it kinda seems like that might have been the case, then I hate it for him. But life is more about what you make of it than where you are, anywas. An education at UCLA will open up a lot of opportunities for him if he takes advantage.

Very odd that the kid wants to come to UT on a visit, seemingly has a good time, and has since soured on the program.

Was it the 'begging' post that did it? Or is he harboring some resentment of the previous staff's assessment of him?

Would love to have him on the team. But if he is not going to be part of the university, I wish he would move on and not negatively recruit against a team that he apparently has no interest in.

I mentioned it back when Morris took his visit. I felt there was a good chance that the staff told Morris IF Skipper did not choose to remain a VOL, we would take him. This would make sense that Morris and his visit seemed to go bad quickly. I may be wrong, but it would make sense I think. Of course not getting the early offer and then being slow played would cause Morris to sour on us.

There is also a quote in the Ford thread where P.Fort stated that Kondolo is ahead of Morris as well.

Was that a direct quote??

I thought that was just a poster claiming he heard that?

If true that would certainly explain why things have transpired like they have

It would depend on if Morris is viewed as a OG or a OT in CBJ's offense. Kondolo is a OG so not sure if they would take 1 and not the other if Morris is a OT.

Wonder what both staffs are seeing that they don't like about Morris? Apparently did well at the AA game.
