sometimes it's hard to cross the (rest of) the country and play on the west coast

10-0 Oregon State, 9:33 left in the 3rd

Wisconsin needs a serviceable QB. O'Brien is terrible.

Tolzien wasn't spectacular but he knew how to manage the game.

I wasn't surprised that UNI found a way to hang with Wisconsin but seeing this, it's no wonder why. Big 10 is beyond overrated this year. Michigan State might be legit and from there it's a question mark. Possibly Ohio State? Michigan and Wisconsin appear to stink on ice.

Not sure how "legit" OSU could be...they can't even win their conference this year

Wisconsin gets the ball back on the onside kick; they might pull this one off

And like Oregon state to...well...kinda choke on that kickoff

If they have the best record in the conference, it wouldn't matter from my point of view. Everyone would know they're the best. They might not be labeled as the conference champions if that happens but people with common sense will realize the champion in their place is only champion by default. It's kind of like UFC when the champion gets hurt and you have an interim champion. The interim champion defends the title and loses making the guy that beats him the new champion but neither one was ever really the champion because the actual champion wasn't involved. They can still be legitimately better than Wisconsin and Michigan without being able to win the conference championship.

Oregon State saved by the review

Looks like the final score will be an upset, 10-7 beavers

Mike Riley's Greatest Hits collection is as good as any. 2006 USC, 2008 USC, this...10th win over a ranked opponent in the last 8 years, and considering Oregon State's program history that's pretty darn good.

He's pretty much got a lifetime contract. He's a hometown product, bfl, and usually pulls off a big upset a year and has the beavers in the mix for the conference title once every decade or so with a bowl game most years. That's the realistic ceiling for the program and the fans and admin are aware of it.
