Who ya got?

I'm putting money on Mucho Macho Man, Midnight Interlude, and Concealed Identity across the board, as well as Shackleford for the win.

This is the only horse race I watch all year to see if the derby winner repeats.

Of course , if *they* do (in case it's a filly)

We don't have to worry about that. No Filly has ever won the Derby and Preakness. Give them their Friday races.

Over the 415 races, only 11 have been won by fillies.

While it may be all the lesser sports (in America's eyes), NBC does broadcast a hell of a lot of championships

Well damn. Watching Shackleford going into the gate I pulled my bet on him and moved it.

So much for the "expert" commentary from the analysts.

haha. I wasn't even going off of what they said, I just saw him going crazy on the TwinSpires streaming and did it then. He looked awful. I pulled it and put it on the 40-1 just for the hell of it. Oops.

Since you were watching it streaming online, I'm not sure if you heard the NBC analyst commentary or not. Based on what they had to say about Shackleford, I'd be willing to bet that 99.9999% of the late betting was for horses other than him.

Seriously? That'd have been awesome for my odds had I not been close to the computer. They probably skyrocketed

I don't know what the final odds ended up being, but the analysts would have had you believe that Shackleford was going to race out into the lead quickly and then die of exhaustion halfway through the race. They commented that he had been wasting tons of energy since coming onto the track, and that he was way overheated.
