Seen this song and dance too many times to be that positive
Can we at least have a day of enjoyment?
We could if the statement/reasons the guy committed were better.
He basically said, "I really wanted attention from the instate schools, but they didn't give it to me so I had to look for a back-up plan. I found it, I guess."
It's a win for us, because he's a REALLY good player. But it won't last.
this is my first time up here, he said. its nice. Its, like, pretty much one of the best schools that ive went to so far." i liked the field, the field is big. Ive been to a couple fields that was big, but there wasnt none bigger that looked better than that one. Well, bama was all right. Them two are about the same.
theyve been after me hard for a while, and today they showed me so much love like, more love than i got from all the other schools, he said. but ive got one more visit coming up, and thats miami and probably kentucky. Im going to check them two out, and then thats probably when im going to make my decision." the coaches (at tennessee), they showed me a lot of love. All the other schools ive been to, theyve showed me love. But they havent showed me as much love as all these coaches, and thats what i kind of like.
coach thigs the main one ive been talking to. Hes crazy. I like him, he told me ive got, like, two people to beat out at the position i play, but i can play, like, all the positions at linebacker. Theres, like, four that would be here when i get here three or four but he said it probably wouldnt be hard for me to step in and try to take somebodys spot or beat somebody out.
That's a good get. I've read where some think he is the bet LB in the state. If he can eat his grades in order that's a solid pick up.
Talented kid. It's a shame ND couldn't even give him a serious look. Effin Alabama public schools.
Real nice looking player. I'm high on him and think he's one of the top 2-3 LBs in the state. It looks like he actually plays LB on the field and is not just some kid attacking whoever has the ball. It makes me think his grade problems have more to do with effort instead of ability, which could be a good sign for UT re: qualifying.
Number 2 LBer in the state and could push to be #1. Bryant is a head hunter and a very good player.
-Rivals MainBoard. In all seriousness, the mods on BOL have been telling us for a couple of months that Saban really likes him but wouldn't accept his commitment until his grades were good to go. It wouldn't make sense for Bama to take a risk on a LB. If he does end up getting it together then TN got a steal no doubt.
Unless he does not get it done in the classroom he will sign with the Vols. Recruiting there are always changes but this one should stick.[/
cmon man...total bammer underestimation suck up maneuver. be realistic here. dont worry u wont offend anyone
What I am serious. Most UA fans from the state think he is one of the best LBs in the state. Kid is just not a workout warrior like many are but can do it in the game as well. If he gets its done in the classroom the Vols will break even with UA for getting Hightower.

Why would he commit this early then? We still have spots left for LB, And he could have waited for more offers or raised his grades for an opportunity to commit in state. He might feel a bit spurned.
We don't have many spots. You have to remember bates and Mouhoun are likely to be vols as well. So that would put us at four 4 star backers. We might take 5. So technically it was smart to jump on now to save a spot
