That's about $60 per voter in the US.
Where did this money come from, and why?
Who gave Amy McGrath $88M and why did she chose to spend it all on TV advertising with Knoxville stations? I don't like Mitch McConnell but I hope she loses just so I never have to see another one of her nails on a chalkboard ads ever again.
Or Tim Burchett in his suede jacket or Rene Hoyos with a fire extinguisher.

And this doesn't include the free advertising of debates, town halls, news coverage (print, internet and TV)

Why do we care about this? Seriously.
I'm just amazed that in a relatively poor state like Kentucky that there would be nearly $150M spent on a senate campaign. Where did that money come from? Russia, Soros, the Hunt Brothers, in state or out of state.
SInce we're so concerned about "foreign" influence, would Tennessee money influencing a Kentucky race not be considered foreign?
Half of my emails over the last week to my personal email account have been political in nature (and I'm not involved in politics other than voting) with half of those being from a candidate in a different state (both partys) asking me to donate to a fund that will provide them money.....and apparently some of those requests are for matching fund situations where a taxpayer will be footing the bill for a match of my donation.

Because re-election is more important than doing a good job and being a blessing to those in need.
