UF was #4 on rivals last year, good solid recruiting is only 1 part of successful long-term success. imho UF was #3 in 2012.

On the other hand OU had the #15 class in 2013, #11 in 2012, #14 in 2011, and #7 in 2010... yet they beat Bama who had #1 in 2013, #1 in 2012, #1 in 2011, and #5 in 2010.

Recruit the players you want, but at the end of the day recruits don't win games... players do.

If that is the case I would have to agree with the other poster.... west coast.

LSU might have spots depending on what happens in the next 40 hours. LSU is looking for more beef up front right now. Texas is about to be very upset at LSU.

Kids like AJ are playing the game this year like no other. I mentioned the other day I am hoping early LOI is allowed in the near future and a hard cap on LOIs per year regardless of EE. I think that would take a lot of the drama queens out of this every year.

If he commits to any other school other than the final 6 (LSU TN FL USC UCLA OK) he listed.

It would shock many in the sports world, but it would also be an immature attention getting move that would put him in a category of prima Donna.

He has done well with his recruitment....why blow it at the end of it on NSD. he's a kid would be the excuse.

The track thing is important to him so I suspect that this looms heavy in his decision making process.

We need yr round players focused on football and not having him at football spring practice would be a pill hard to swallow. In the future it will not be that big of a deal but as an immediate impact player then you would want the cohesion and passion to carry over from spring to fall. IMO.

Another pretty decent excuse is that it's his decision and he can really do whatever he wants.

Good question. Nobody likes to be jilted. Some posters and some posers like drama. Some like to create it. Some can't accept the reality of a rejection. Some like to control. There are some that are in the know and some that think they know and some that have no clue....don't forget those that speculate based on their emotional state. Then there are some that treat this like dating the HS queen.

As well as AJ has handled this, we will not know until after he signs on NSD. Nothing we can do about it except sit back and watch....going to FL is not a shock, same goes for any school in the final 4....

His tweet about losing followers after his cut to 4 says and the tweet about pleasing himself says a lot. The recruiting services did a number on us also with to waiting in the weeds tweets. But that statement appears to be just another way to general interest, please others, and reek in a few more hits for advertisement dollars.

Oh well.....

Agree....I like our home state commit, Gaulden, he wants to be here and has ability and the potential to be an all SEC player. Think he will be special and will be a hard worker. He knows what it takes to lay at this level and has a strong work ethic.

Last I checked he can do whatever the h### he wants. When I was 18 I did a lot of stupid things and if every college & recruiting service in the country was telling me I was awesome I would have been an even bigger knucklehead.

Since I have never met the kid I wont assume he is a prima donna. I will hope he made/makes the best decision he feels is right.

BTW if you dont think there are any "prima donnas" on our board now you might be a bit naive.
