You're right that we haven't played a down yet but we also haven't heard that this is year zero or how terrible we are either! There is a lot of optimism and a buzz around the program that hasn't been here for a while. I also have to believe that since Butch has won before, he won't go into halftime with two timeouts and the ball when were down 9 to the defending NC's either. It's the little things that add up.

Or let the clock run out against mizzou to end the game when u have one of the best offenses in the sec

Oh I understand, and share your enthusiasm. I also know that we are at a distinct disadvantage personnel wise this year. Also breaking in new offensive, and Defensive schemes won't help either. Then again, as you said, he has won everywhere he has been. Here's to hoping

I'm right there with you. I know we aren't world beaters but I feel a lot better about having a football coach this year. That is all, nothing more nothing less.

Share your thoughts. Gonna take a little time but I think we see a much improved, much better coached team even if it doesn't show up in the record this year.

Man I hope Payne commits. D'Andre could start four years for us. This kid will be good and he works hard at it. I hope it's true. Wouldn't mind if he he gets his buddies on board either.
And I love how McDowell plays, hope that's true as well. Just don't ever use the word worship, people will crucify you.

Someone asked how he knew FORSURE and he said he is just going by what he was told directly.

So....IF we do get this guy...does it help us get Tabor? Couldn't hurt.

Payne, Tabor, Kelly, McDowell, Wharton (listed as a DB), Gaulden, and Adoree' Jackson would be the crown jewel. But just to get those first six would be the best DB haul we have ever seen.

Add to that Bates, Mouhon, Allen-Williams, Berger, Miclisse at LB (Don't see why those aren't all possible)

And IF we could get Andrew Williams, and a few other destructive DL....

Incredible defensive class. And I'm sure I'm missing some real possibilities as well.

Then on offense, you take one of Barker/Cornwell at QB, we pick up Hurd,Paulk and Kinlaw/Palmer at RB,

We take Creamer, Kitt, Booth, and maybe one other WR.

And then you take Thomas and you finish the class with OL.

Absolutely stellar. And totally possible IMO.

He won't start 4 years. The CBs on campus now are much better athletes than what we've been lining up. Coach Martinez is a better DB coach than any of the other DB coaches we've had since CWMG. This kid will play but don't expect him or anyone outside of TKjr. to start. Which is actually a good thing.

Love the direction the program is headed under Butch and I can't wait to get to Knoxville in the fall and become part of the UT Football program! Always like to keep the board up on twitter news and when I hear good things from people. This board is a great place and I'm happy to be a member and to contribute a little bit! Go Vols!

Sounds like he is one of players already committed like TK Jr or Vic Wharton.
