I guess Bret never saw the Florida game before he hired chaney lol. I think we get this guy in the end. Hes a speed type player our offense needs and Butch is giving 102% on this recruit.

I know the state of Georgia like my hand. I also know how hard we are recruiting him. That was my point. I hope the coaches have a clear understand of the talent level of the region he played in and what they are seeing on film.

Ahh gotcha. I think they see the speed and are confident that they can take someone with his raw talent and make a player out of him. We def need kids with his speed to get this defense back to respectability.

If the above is true, and we all agree on this kid's talent level, why do we need to take a HARDER/CLOSER look at him? Maybe take a harder harder closer closer look at him to notice the extremely fine details, or maybe the thread count of his shirt lol? Good times.

Not all of us agree. I think I am in the minority minute here. I'll just say this, Chaz Thornton played in that same region, we all saw his tape. He fell all the way to Georgia Southern.

I think 105 letters to a kid from our staff says enough; we don't need to look any further than that. I'm not a professional talent evaluator, and they get paid mega-bucks because they are.

I'm not an expert on these matters, but I think that would be frowned upon by the NCAA if we had some coaches move in with him and his family. But like I said, I'm not real sure

I'm not saying you're wrong about his talent, but comparing offer lists, it's a pretty rogue opinion. Truitt has offers from Tennessee, Florida, ASU, etc. Thornton had offers from Chattanooga, Georgia St., and Georgia Southern.

It's not hard to see the difference. Again, you may be right about his talent, but in saying that, I have to assume the 20+ D1 coaches that have offered him this early are wrong. I just doubt that is the case, though it wouldn't be the first time it's happened.

Are you saying Truitt is not a good enough talent for TN, because of the region he plays in?

This kid is getting much more hype from every service than Thornton ever did. Moreover, a well-known poster, OV, has said this kid is the real deal. He sees these kids more than anyone here, probably even most recruiting services we frequent.

Between that and the coaches' actions, I wouldn't question much.

Will Muschamp wants him at CB. That should send a huge message for his athleticism. I like this kid a lot as a prospect.

Not because of the region and I could be wrong. I'm not bashing him. I understand if we aren't allowed to post a differing opinion of recruits on here for obvious reasons but I didn't see it in the rules.
